Great questions A. I'll go into more detail in future posts but here's a short version- it does matter how many times you take it. It is my understanding that most schools look at all past scores. So an improvement in score would be helpful, but it won't erase your past score. I know of at least one school (Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine) that will only look at your highest score within the last three years. There may be other schools like that.

The general consensus is that you really only want to take the MCAT once. You should only take it when you're ready to take it. Thanks for the questions!

Do schools take the latest score, the highest score, or the average? Does it matter how many times you take it?
