Interesting that you were recommended the book by a theology professor, it was first recommended to me by a pastor.

I was recommended Mountains Beyond Mountains by a Theology faculty when I expressed interest in seeing the combination of medicine and theology. I love the book, and likewise, Dokte Paul reinvited me to my roots, to why I desire to be a doctor. His story is certainly inspiring, and I find that the stirring it causes in my soul is similar to that experienced when receiving reports and learning of what Christian missionaries do on the field.

I was starting to read about one of his partners (I forget the name; I think he was the Korean partner in PIH) when someone recalled the book at my school's library. Now he or she has the book until August of this year. I will probably end up purchasing it. It is a great read.
